Resources for restoring information ecosystems: recommendations from our gathering in Santiago

Last week, we spent three days in Santiago de Chile with journalists, activists and organizers from 10 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, talking about how to restore information ecosystems in the region.
During our gathering, participants talked about the challenges we face in information ecosystems in the region and the strategies their organizations are implementing to address them. We had sessions about our collective dreams and hopes for information ecosystems, exchanged reflections about the impact of their work, shared methodologies for dismantling gender injustices in information ecosystems, mapped our practices for collective and individual care, and more. We also drew, created zines, danced, and ate snacks from all over the continent.
